Filmneverdie Shooters - An interview with Nathan Coote

Where do you come from & what do you do for a living?

My names Nathan CC i'm from Prahran, Melbourne and i'm currently a student studying photography

How old are you?

20

How did you become inspired to shoot on film?

umm well i got introduced to it at a young age from my mother but like never really shot it like i do now, so from a young age till i was in my first year of studying photography at Photographic Imaging College i didn't shoot film and with PIC offering Film as well as digital it was just hard to not say no to the analog process.

What format do you shoot? 35mm, Polaroid, 8 x 10 etc

I shoot 35mm black and white and colour film and on special occasions i will shoot 120.

Why do you like this format?

I think every photographer who shoots film these days gets asked that question a lot. but for me its the process of shooting film in such a digital age where everything is a chaotic mess. It allows me to slow down and actually appreciate the photographs i produce.

Where do you see the future of analogue photography?

Well i think that as the years go on film will always be around there will always be a bunch of hipster/photographers shooting film along side the Digital giants.

Where can we see more of your work?
