Description:

This is a Canon P 35mm rangefinder which was sold between 1959 and 1961. It takes M39 screw mount (LTM) lenses which means it's compatible with a wide array of lenses from manufacturers like Leitz, Nikon, Zeiss, Schneider-Kreuznatch and more.

The canon P is a super intuitive camera to use and feels amazing in hand. It is the perfect camera for some wanting to enter the world of interchangeable lens rangefinders.
When Picking up the Canon P you will feel like everything has been put together perfectly. The body feels like once piece of solid metal and is free of superfluous bulges and lines. It's a very solid machine and is probably one of Canon's most well built cameras (alongside the Canon F-1) The winding crack is very
satisfying, responsive and not too long.  It uses a very unique metal foil focal plane shutter that was both more reliable and quieter than the cloth curtains common in rangefinders at the time. The viewfinder is very bright and easy to use and has projected bright lines for 35, 50, and 100 mm lenses.

If you love to shoot rangefinders, want access to really good Leica lenses but don't want to invest thousands of dollars in a Leica camera, the Canon P might be just perfect for you.
