The Nikon FE was introduced in 1978. It is an advanced enthusiast level, F-mount, 35mm film SLR. It features the same compact and light design as the Nikon FM but has an electronic shutter release. The built and layout of this camera is near perfect and Nikon knew that as they used this design all the way until 2001 when they stopped the production of the Nikon FM2.
It is the perfect camera for a film photography enthusiast trying to improve their photography game. It’s exceptionally strong, reliable, and precise, and offers meter-assisted manual shooting that more established shooters will love. Yet with the flick of a dial, thanks to its aperture priority mode, it offers enough automation to allow new shooters to learn on a machine that’s truly remarkable.
