The Nikon FM is the first model of Nikon's new semi-professional SLR line up. Introduced in 1977 the FM is constructed almost entirely from metal and uses a mechanical shutter. It is manual-focus-only, with manual exposure control.
The FM has a big, bright and fully informative viewfinder that displays the aperture and the shutter speed which means you can adjust your without taking your eyes off your viewfinder. The film advancer feels very light and has a very responsive, short throw. It is truly a well built camera that on top of being very compact and light offers all the options someone that wants to get into the Nikon F system needs.
The lens this camera comes with is a wide f1.4 Nikkor lens. Perfect all rounder lens with incredible bokeh when shot wide open. This 1.4 lens is a real gem, capable of sending huge amounts of sharpness straight to the negative.
