Description:

Nikon F3/T is a special version of the Nikon F3 High-Eyepoint camera, uses titanium for its right and left top covers, base plate, camera back, and the pentaprism cover of the viewfinder. Unlike normal chrome camera bodies, the F3/Ts finish is the original titanium metal colour (Applied only to the Champaign finish model). Titanium is one of the world's strongest, yet lightest materials; its specific gravity is approximately half that of brass, yet its hardness is almost the same as steel, while its corrosion resistance is greater than that of stainless steel.

The F3 is manual focus.

The F3 works fine with every manual focus lens made since 1959, and works with all autofocus AI-P, AF, AF-I, AF-D and AF-S lenses so long as they aren't gelded (G). "Works with" means metering and focus works great, but of course you'll need to focus all of these by hand.

You'll most often see the slightly newer F3HP version. The HP, or High Eyepoint version, has a slightly larger eyepiece with slightly less magnification so you can hold your eye slightly farther away.

Nikon Nikkor 28mm f3.5
This was Nikon's least expensive professional 28mm lens in the 1970s. This particular AI version was made from 1977-1981. This lens is from the days before Nikon made anything except very expensive professional equipment. It offers the same optical quality as the more expensive and heavier f/2.8 and f/2 28mm AI lenses. The newer 28mm f/2.8 AI-s offers less distortion and the f/2 offers more speed for use in dim light, but for daylight use, this f/3.5 lens is wonderful.
