Filmneverdie Shooters - An interview with Liam Brownlie

So, where do you come from & what do you do for a living?

I come from Melbourne and I work at Australia post, but also do work with SYN radio on the side.

How young are you? even if you are old in age we believe you are young in heart, because you still want to shoot film

I’m 20!

How did you become inspired to shoot on film?

I would say there wasn’t a huge reason initially other than fascination, but as time went on I tested around with it on my friend Jack’s camera and ended up being really interested with live gig photography, which I now do as often as I possibly can!

What format do you shoot? 35mm, Polaroid, 8 x 10 etc

35mm.

Why do you like this format?

It’s just so damn dirt cheap plus you can buy it literally anywhere (I’m looking at you Big K).

Where do you see the future of analogue photography?

In the short term it will hopefully just keep growing in demand and popularity and in the long term a growth in competition for development and scanning.

What is a dream project that you want to work on?

I would love to photograph my favourite musicians live so we’re talking Ty Segall definitely.

Where can we find out more about your work?
