Ever rewound a roll too far and lost the leader? This is the fix.

The film picker retrieves the film leader from inside a 35mm canister without needing a darkroom. Three smooth plastic blades slide in and pull the leader out cleanly, no scratching the negative, no fumbling in the dark.

Retractable blades keep everything protected when you're not using it. Small enough to clip to your bag with the included lanyard and forget about until you need it. Works in daylight. Takes about 30 seconds once you've got the hang of it.

How to use:

1. With both sliders in the down position, put all three tongues into the cassette opening
2. Slide up the first slider then turn the film spool anti-clockwise until you hear a click
3. Slide up the second slider then turn the film spool clockwise until you feel tension
4. Pull the film picker out from your cassette, and your leader is back

Good to know:

• If it doesn't catch first try, pull the blades out and try again. It can take a few attempts if the leader has wound slightly off-centre
• Listen for the click in step 2 — once you hear it, stop turning immediately
• Works with standard 35mm film canisters only
