Description:
Mamiya may be more well known for its truly legendary medium format behemoths, like the M645, RB67, RZ67 and the Mamiya 7. But before the mid 1980s, after which they decided to focus solely on medium format, they also made a huge range of 35mm SLR cameras and in its earlier days rangefinders as well.
The Mamiya ZM is the very last SLR designed by Mamiya that was released to the public, and was designed by the same man behind the Mamiya 645 Super and Mamiya RZ67. Featuring an electronically controlled vertical plane metal shutter, the camera has a maximum shutter speed of 1/1000s, and offers both fully manual and aperture priority modes. Despite being made in the 80s, the camera features a very forward-thinking ergonomic right-hand grip. The camera has a smooth, satisfying film advance action and shutter actuation, and paired with a flexible 35~70mm f/3.5-4.5 lens is a joy to use in many scenarios, from landscapes to portraits and anything in between!

As we welcome 2025, we’re gearing up for something exciting—a Shot on Nana exhibition, likely happening mid-year.
As a wise person once said, “The proof is in the pudding.” This is our chance to come together and show the world what’s possible with the tiny yet mighty Nana camera! 📸
Curious about its image quality? Check out some decent results from our recent photowalk here (scroll to the bottom for the photos, in black-and-white).
If you already have a Nana camera, it’s time to get shooting! If you’d like to grab one, you can find it here.
Until then, remember:
Stay Positive, Shoot Negative. 🖤
