The Olympus AZ-1 zoom goes from 38 mm to a telephoto of 70 mm. Depending on the zoom level, the maximum aperture is between f/3.5 and f/6.7. The camera sets aperture and exposure time automatically. It also sets the focus independently.
A self-timer with twelve seconds of advance and a flash are built into the body of the camera. The flash can also be turned off if desired. Furthermore, there is a special mode for portrait shots. Of course, there is also a tripod socket on the bottom of the camera.
